I have a problem!

I have been saving money from my ebay sales to make a huge AG order. I have a lot saved. I am planning to get The rest of Felicity's clothes that I don't already have, several of the new outfits, and Felicity's table , chairs, and all of her birthday accessories. This totals out to a lot of money, but I have been saving and will be ready to order next week.

The problem is: Now I am feeling guilty! So...I am wondering...is Felicity's table and chairs worth buying? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I am not taking this money out of any household budgets...just my ebay money. I just feel like I could do something with it that would be fun for my whole family, and not just me.

Help!

I too have faced a decision like yours. Last year when we got a tax refund, I made a long list of doll things I'd like. But I felt selfish getting everything because my daughter and I are the only girls in our family of 8. So I made up a list of girly items that would please my daughter and I and also items that my little guys (8 & 10 at the time) liked.

Since I adored Coconut, I bought two Coconuts with Coconut's accessories and the boys played with them for days! I got more enjoyment out of listening to those two little dogs barking in squeeky barks and having adventures all over the house than if I had bought a bunch of doll dresses.

My boys looked over my original order and they saw I had put AG minis on the order. The AG minis delighted me as well as my daughter and sons. The boys treat my minis with great care so I don't mind them rearranging things. Many nights I would drift off to sleep chuckling over some really funny story the boys made up with my bears in my AG Mini rooms. They have given us much delight.

I did buy a couple doll outfits and bought some outfits and AG minis for my nieces. And my daughter got Kaya. In the end, I was really glad I thought of my family. Some things, like laughter and joy in the house, are worth more than anything in the world.

The way you describe it, I can just see your little guys playing with the AG things! Little boys are so sweet! My "little" boy is 15, and taller than me! He was so much fun when he was little, though. Well...he is still a sweetheart, and fun to do things with.

Actually...we pay our kids to work on our farm, and they treat themselves well! LOL

The total of my order is around $450.00 with tax and shipping, and I am just feeling like I should put that towards a trip, or some furniture or something like that.

We'll see...right now I'm planning on going ahead with the order. If I can't make myself order everything I have planned, I'll at least get some of it. I have just really been debating the table and chairs because I already have Samantha's table and chairs and birthday stuff set up.

My dad always gives me this good spending advice: do enough for yourself so that you stay sane, and then stop. That helps me know what to get when.

That's really good advice Lametta! Thank you!

Can anyone here tell me if they have this set, and if they like it or not?

I have Felicity's table and chairs, and I really love them. I think that they are well worth it--good quality and beautiful.

Jenny, I get your point!
Since I only got money for X-mas I started buying a lot of doll stuff at Ebay around January. I always go for surface mail so the stuff is arriving bit by bit these days. Now that my room is filling up I can?t believe how much I actually bought and how much money I paid. It makes me feel guilty and I think it will take some time till I get around to enjoy all the things thoroughly.

As a serious collector for Felicity you should get the things in my opinion. (Better safe than sorry! ) If you find out you don?t like certain things you can always sell them at Ebay and I doubt you will make less money than what you paid for at PC!

Yes... that's another consideration. While we all hope they do not retire anymore of Lissie's things, we can't be sure unless they begin really marketing her again and introducing new items for her. I always feel like she's one step away from retirement, and those large items like the bed and table/chairs will be very costly on ebay if they are retired (just consider the clothes press). I felt a bit guilty when I put in a huge order for the rest of her things I didn't have in January (including the bed and table/chairs), but I'm glad I did because now I can enjoy the collection without fearing its retirement. It's frustrating enough trying to collect the currently discontinued stuff on ebay...

I just got them in January and I'm delighted with them. They're gorgeous, so real and very good quality.

(Well first off I have the table and chairs and they're beautiful so I say get them.)
But I want to share something with you. I have the kind of mom who always wants to give everything to us kids. She never wants to treat herself to nice things because she says she'd be much happier knowing my sister and I had things we wanted instead.
Well my mother is the sweetest in the world, but you know what? When Kit came out, my mom decided she wanted her, and so she bought her for herself. Seeing my mom -finally- treat herself to something she wanted made me happier than getting a new doll myself.
And I think that from the kind of mom you seem to be, your family should feel the same way.
